(March 29, 2019) The Chicago Ambassador is proud to announce that we are a finalist for the Peter Lisagor Award for Best Independent Continuing Blog. Winners will be announced May 10. If we win, it will be the second year in a row!

The Lisagor’s are given for excellence in journalism in a range of categories by The Chicago Headline Club, the Society of Professional Journalists Chicago Chapter. Thanks to all our contributing reporters, photographers and editors and especially to our readers.

The Chicago Ambassador is an online publication. The Chicago Ambassador is published on the WordPress platform, but it is not a typical “blog.” It is a publication put together by traditional press veterans who adhere to AP Stylebook guidelines and the best practices of traditional journalism.

Our staff does not post stories from other publications to fill space. As for our stories, be sure to stop by frequently for interesting stories, interviews, exclusive news and more. It’s hard to narrow down our scope other than to say “Chicago related.” We can promise this: You won’t find any stories on “The top 5 hot-dog joints” or any other clichés in The Chicago Ambassador.
